Whether you’re considering us for your camp needs or a traditional day camp experience, summer at Jump-In is filled with fun, adventure, excitement, and new friends. Our camp program is built around family values: friendship, honesty, respect, responsibility, kindness, and love. We strive to nurture all our campers in a challenging and supportive environment, where their safety and well-being are our top priorities. Camp Jump-In is led by a team of professional mentors and dedicated staff members, all chosen for their maturity, patience, and extensive experience working with children.

Nontraditional Camp

Our camp is perfect for campers who want to experience all aspects of a camp day, including activities like recreational sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, fitness fun, and, of course, swimming. Campers also learn valuable health and nutrition habits, as well as leadership and team-building skills. To ensure a personalized experience, our intimate settings consist of 50 campers, grouped by age, allowing us to focus on each child's growth.

Our beautiful, private facilities are located in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. Camp is held in two historic church buildings we rent, situated in Brooklyn's charming Park Slope and Cobble Hill neighborhoods. The facilities offer a rustic charm, including a safe, secure, air-conditioned indoor space.

YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY

The safety of every child is always our highest priority at Camp Jump-In. All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified, and are trained to ensure a safe and secure environment for every camper.

AGE TO JUMP-IN

Children aged 5-13 from all over Brooklyn have attended Camp Jump-In, and your little ones can join us for eight weeks of fun in the sun! If your camper is 4.5 years old and entering kindergarten in the fall, they are welcome to join us! Parents must provide proof of age and the school their child will be attending.

Enrichment-Focused Day Camp

Camp Jump-In is a program-focused camp, offering traditional day camp activities. Our schedule consists of enrichment in the mornings and camp activities in the afternoons.

Summer Learning

Summer learning is key to retaining academic progress made during the school year. Research shows that two-thirds of the achievement gap between lower- and higher-income youth can be explained by unequal access to summer learning opportunities. Many low-income students lose two months of grade-level equivalency in math and reading skills over the summer. To address this, Camp Jump-In invests four hours of enrichment into our daily schedule, four days a week!

Splish-Splash

Camp Jump-In is known for its outstanding aquatics program. While many camps offer pool fun, we provide 45 minutes of swim lessons daily. All water activities are carefully supervised by trained, certified lifeguards and swim instructors. Swimming at Camp Jump-In is a tradition your child will love!

Family Involvement

We believe in fostering family involvement at Camp Jump-In. Families are invited to participate in activities like camp trips, beach cookouts, pep rallies (what’s camp without songs?), and game days. These events allow family members to meet camp staff, connect with their child’s new camp friends, and learn about the entire Jump-In community.

CAMP LUNCH

Camp Jump-In provides nutritious, well-balanced, and generous lunches for all full-day campers. Lunch is a time for campers to relax and socialize with friends.

Lunch Facts:

• Vegetarian options are available.
• No kosher or gluten-free options are available. Campers may bring their own lunch.
• We are a peanut-aware camp; we do not serve products containing peanuts.
• Lunch menus are announced weekly in the Camp Parent memo.
• Assorted seasonal fresh fruit is served daily.
• Afternoon snacks are provided daily.
• Meals are prepared by our private Camp Chef.

While each camp has its own traditions and schedule, here’s an example of a typical day at Camp Jump-In:

• Morning Extended Care and Drop Off: Arrival and drop-off at 8:00 a.m.

If your work schedule or traffic challenges are making it difficult to send your child to camp, we’ve got you covered!

Safe and Spirited Bus Transportation

Camp Jump-In partners with a local transportation company to provide bus services throughout the summer. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our campers during their ride to and from camp. Our team, including Director Mr. Drew and Transportation Director Ms. D, oversees every detail of the transportation process, from route design and parent communication to daily supervision of bus drivers and assistants.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Times:

Pick-up can be as early as 6:00 a.m., and drop-off can be as late as 8:00 p.m., depending on your location.
