What Is Jump-in Saturday Academy?
Saturday Academy is an educational program that provides its students in grade k-12 with 1 to 1 academic support, something that 99% of students don’t get but need to excel we focus on the four academic components ELA, Vocabulary writing and Math also state testing and for our high school and college students we cover algebra, geometry and trigonometry, classic and literature, drama, research writing , biology, chemistry and physics, U.S. history, world history and civics
Is My Child the Right Age for Jump-in Saturday Academy?
At Saturday Academy we have students from 1st grade to the college/university level. Before acceptance into the program each student goes through an interview and a written test to determine their weaknesses. It is preferable to begin developing skills early in order to get the greatest results.
Is Jump-in Saturday Academy an "Enrichment" or "Remedial" Program?
Saturday Academy can help children who have fallen behind and are struggling, as well as those who are doing well but are seeking enrichment. Our objective is to help children reach their full potential and perform above their school grade.
Why is Jump-in Saturday Academy Such an Effective Complement to My Child's Schooling?
Schools must cover material according to age or grade, and classes must advance as a group. Not all children grasp all concepts at the same pace. Saturday Academy allows the individual needs and abilities of each child to govern his or her own progress.
How Soon Will I See Results in My Child?
Some children progress very rapidly, while others take longer. We view education as an ongoing process, and we are not meant to be a “quick-fix” solution. We encourage parents to keep their children enrolled for at least nine months to a year before judging the effectiveness of the program.
What do we do when it rains?
If it rains we will put in affect our rainy-day schedule which will include indoor games, cooking activates Camp art projects and movies
Can you discuss the swim program?
All swimming is done at the Brooklyn sports club Swimming Pool just 45 minutes from our camp. Campers will be bused to and from Brooklyn sports club pool. When campers initially start the program, they will be tested to gauge their swim level. Campers will be instructed by Red Cross Swim instructors. 2 counselors will also be in the pool to provide extra supervision. Campers will receive a progress report every two weeks from their swimming instructor. If your child is participating in the swim program, he/she should wear a bathing suit to camp under their clothing, as swim is always first period on swim days. Campers will use the locker rooms at the pool to change back into their camp attire. Campers will arrive at the pool by 9:45 am and return to camp at 12:00 pm
What are the ages of your campers?
4.5 to 13 years old. Our Kiddie Campers include Pre-K- 1st grade. Our Middle Campers consist of 2nd grade-4th grade. Upper Camp is 5th grade -8th grade.
Do you offer Early & Late Care?
Yes, we offer both Early Care and Late Care. Early Care begins at 7:30 am and Late Care starts at 6:00 and ends at 6:45 pm.
Do campers bring lunch?
Nope! Complimentary lunch is offered every day to all campers. Campers may bring their own lunch, if they prefer.
Do you provide snacks or ice cream?
A morning snack is provided to campers in Kiddie Camp daily at 3:30 pm. All campers receive ice cream or ice pop at 5:30 pm.
What is the hiring process for the staff?
The quality of staff at Camp Jump-in is the utmost important aspect of camp, our hiring process is intensive. We require three professional references for all potential employees and perform extensive background checks. Once applicants have cleared our background investigation and furnished sufficient references, Evan, the owner, conducts an interview with every applicant.
Can my child bring a cell phone or tablet to camp?
No. We firmly believe that campers are here to socialize, communicate and interact with each other without their electronic devices. Camp Jump-in has a zero tolerance policy on this matter.
What is the camp attire?
To promote camp spirit, all campers and staff are required to wear camp shirts daily. Camp Jump-in will provide your child with 2 complimentary t-shirts, each with a space to put your child’s name. This allows everyone at camp to address your child by their name. CAMPERS MUST WEAR SNEAKERS EVERY DAY. CAMPERS ARE NOT PERMITTED INTO CAMP WITHOUT SNEAKERS.
What if my child is not coming to camp or will be coming in late?
If your child takes the bus, please call the bus counselor the night before, or in the morning, before 6:30 am. If not use our App to mark your child absent and send us a message
What if I need to pick up my child early?
The early pick up procedure is simple. In the morning if your child is on a mini-bus, please give the bus counselor a note with your child’s name and time of pick up. The child must be picked up NO LATER THAN 4:45 pm. If you do your own driving, please email the office at Summercamp@jumpinenrichment.com. You may pick-up NO LATER THAN 4:45 pm. If you are sending someone to pick up your child, please provide the name of that person in your note. Please also tell that person to bring identification with them. We will have your child waiting for you in the office and someone will bring them out to you. Safety, as always, is our main concern.
Is there a full-time certified nurse on staff?
Yes! ALL Camp Jump-in lead staff are EMT and First aid certified, at all times. And are able to handles everyday occurrences and the dispensing of medication. A medical history and a medicine release form, allowing our staff to dispense medication, is included in the information packet you will receive in the spring after you register for camp. The release form will need to be completed by your doctor.
Are you a peanut/nut free camp?
No. Due to many campers bringing their own lunch, we cannot guarantee that someone will not bring peanut butter, or nuts, to camp.
Where do most of the campers at Camp Jump-in come from?
Most campers come from the following areas: New Jersey , Queens, Cobble Hill, Park slope, Dumbo, Stuyvesant Heights, Canarsie, Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, Carroll Gardens , East New York, Flatbush, East Flatbush, Starrett City, Midwood, Mill Basin Marine Park, Flatlands, Manhattan.

What are the fees associated with Jump-in Homeschool?
The fees for placement services are a non-refundable sign up fee of $250. And This amount is to be paid weekly by the family $900 weekly per student by the parent on our online system we also do offer sibling discount.
Does Jump-in Homeschool offer placement services in other states?
Yes, placement services are offered nationwide.
Are the private teachers employed full-time or part-time?
The private teacher will be employed on either a full-time to the family for the duration of the school year.
What is the compensation for a private teacher?
The teacher's compensation is a bi-weekly salary paid by Jump-in enrichment to the teacher.
How are private teachers compensated?
Jump-in Enrichment handles teachers’ salary
Is there an Employment Agreement?
If you decide to move forward in hiring a Jump-in Enrichment., for your Homeschool needs parents will sign an agreement with Jump-in enrichment the assigned teacher will sign an agreement with us .
What is the schedule and calendar for the school year?
The academic calendar and schedule for the school year will be in line with public school calendar.
Will the private teachers travel with our family?
No, teachers are not allowed to travel with families
Are private teachers employed long-term (>1 year)?
Employment Agreements are drafted for the duration of a school year. And can return by request.
